Dear Minister Sajjan:

Thank you for your response to my request for an update on the three recommendations that you accepted from our report, Simplifying the Service Delivery Model for Medically Releasing Members of the Canadian Armed Forces. 

I have reviewed your response and would request that a working-level contact be provided to my Office in order to discuss several initiatives in more detail. More specifically, I would like additional information on the following activities:

-   The Treasury Board-led Policy Tiger Team and the joint VAC-CAF Seamless Transition Task Force;

-   The review of release administration procedures and processes, including the plan to trial their implementation;

-   The streamlining of processes and procedures leading to integrated transition plans for members with complex cases;

-   The support provided to releasing members with less complex cases; and

-   The activities stemming to date from the new CAF Transition Group.
