Make Your Voice Heard: Ombudsman Urges Reservists to Share Their Experiences Regarding Care and Support for Operational Stress Injuries

Our office is conducting a systemic review into Reservists and operational stress injuries. More specifically we will be looking into the availability and awareness of care and social support entitlements, the Canadian Forces’ capacity to provide service and support, as well as potential impediments to seeking care and support.

From April-July 2013, our investigation team will be visiting units in Newfoundland, Montreal and the Ottawa and Calgary/Edmonton areas. They will also be speaking with senior leaders, commanders, caregivers, and of course Reservists. But we would like to hear from you.

If you are a Reservist, a family member of a Reservist, or know of a Reservist who has been touched by operational stress injuries, I encourage you to share your perspectives and experiences with us. Simply phone or e-mail us your name and coordinates at the address or number below, and a member of our Intake team will be in touch with you. Please note that discretion is assured based on the Privacy Act.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Pierre Daigle
Ombudsman
