Ombudsman Launches New Online Booking Tool
Message from the Ombudsman | 8 August 2017
I am pleased to announce that we are introducing an online booking tool to enhance our constituents’ access to the Office.
In the first phase of a suite of new products, we released the LiveChat feature on our website in October 2016. Building on this initiative, we want to provide an additional service to our constituents across Canada and eventually around the world by taking another concrete step.
Today, we are launching the Online Booking Tool on the Office’s website. We understand that some of our constituents may not have time during normal Ottawa business hours to contact us or may want to have a spouse or family member near when they call. Members of the Defence community in Canada can now go on our website and book a telephone appointment that will start at any time between 8:00am and 3:30pm in any time zone in Canada (6:30am to 6:30pm Ottawa-time).
To make the experience as easy as possible, the online booking system is accessible in both official languages either from a desktop or a mobile device. It is also compatible with common Web browsers including: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.
I invite military members and their families, Defence civilians or anyone else we serve, to click on the following link to book a telephone appointment with a member of my team: https://www3.ombudsman.forces.gc.ca/booking/Booking_e.php
Our constituents can also contact us through LiveChat or by calling us directly at 1-888-828-3626.
