Ombudsman Launches Live Chat to better serve constituents

Message from the Ombudsman | October 3, 2016

I am pleased to announce to all members of Canada's Defence community and visitors to our website that we now have a new, convenient way for you to communicate with our office.

Today we are releasing the first phase of our new Live Chat communication tool. With Live Chat, you will have immediate and easy access to a bilingual intake officer who will be available to help you complete our online complaint form, answer basic questions and point you in the right direction to get the information you need.

To make your experience easy and hassle free, Live Chat works from both your desktop and mobile devices. It is also compatible with common Web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

Live Chat is available Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 Eastern Standard Time.

This service confirms and builds on our commitment to serve and engage with our constituents by meeting them where they are. Further development and expansion will take place over the next year. Stay tuned!

Please ensure your cookies are enabled and you will see Live Chat in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

Desktop

To access directly from our website, click on How Do I Make a Complaint? found on our home page.

In How Do I Make a Complaint? you will find a link to our secure online complaint form. A privacy statement will pop up. Click agree and the form will open.

In the bottom right hand corner you will see Live Chat.

Mobile

You will need to scroll down to this section on your mobile device. Here’s what you will be looking for: How do I make a complaint?

Just click on Live Chat in the bottom right hand corner.
