Dear Ms. McFadyen,

Thank you for your letter of 6 August 2008 advising that a number of initially raised observations with regard to Official Languages at the Canadian Forces Base Borden remain outstanding.

In you letter, you mention that you have referred these concerns to the Commissioner of Official Languages. Be assured that we will continue our efforts to improve in these areas and we will cooperate, as required, with the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages in any forthcoming audits of training establishments in the Canadian Forces to ensure compliance with the Official Languages Act.

Sincerely,

General W.J. Natynczyk

c.c. Vice Chief of the Defence Staff
Chief Military Personnel
