In recognition of exemplary dedication to the values of integrity, honesty, fairness and openness,
Chief Warrant Officer Roger Bouchard
is awarded the first annual Commendation for Ethics of the Ombudsman for National Defence and Canadian
Forces.
In a thirty-year career in the Canadian Forces, CWO Bouchard has made a substantial and varied contribution to the well-being of the DND/CF community, earning the respect and admiration of his peers.
In particular, he has been a driving force in the Defence Ethics Program. By sharing personal experience and challenges with candour and courage in more than sixty focus groups and training sessions, he has greatly enhanced this vital dialogue and fostered healthy openness, especially among non-commissioned members.
CWO Bouchard has given the Forces an example of excellence and leadership. By helping people confront difficult, contemporary issues and voice their own ethical concerns, dilemmas and decisions, he has made the program more practical and effective.
The Ombudsman for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces salutes and commends CWO Bouchard's exceptional dedication.
